Antena M

Antena M

Društvo za radio – difuznu djelatnost "Antena M" d.o.o. Podgorica is the owner and publisher of Radio Antena M and Portal Antena M. The first independent Montenegrin informative-political radio, Antena M, began broadcasting on 18 July 1994, based on the anti-war and pro-human rights editorial policy.

In July 2016, Radio Antena M opened the portal, which is now operating as another media format of the same brand.

Antena M is majority-owned by Montenegrin journalist Darko Šuković, whose career began on Radio Montenegro, while the biggest minority owner is the Perović family, headed by Miodrag Perović, who is one of the founders of the weekly Monitor and Vijesti. Due to a long-lasting public dispute between Šuković and other media where the Perović family has ownership, Perović does not in any way participate in operations of Antena M.

Šuković, as a head of Antena M, for years ran the TV show “Živa istina” which was broadcast on various TV channels, including the public broadcaster RTCG. He was an editor of the Magazine “Krug”, and worked for the weekly “Monitor”.
