Dan
Dan is a daily newspaper published in Montenegro since 1999 and is one of the most-read newspapers in the country. Dan, founder and editor-in-chief Duško Jovanović, was assassinated in 2004 in Podgorica, which had a huge influence on the media outlet. The masterminds and perpetrators of his assassination have never been discovered, and by this date, this represents the most severe unresolved attack on media freedoms in Montenegro.
Dan’s ownership is shared between its current director and editor-in-chief who hold half of the ownership, while the other half belongs to the widow of the deceased Duško Jovanović – Slavica Jovanović and their son Vojin Jovanović.
The publisher of Dan, Jumedia Mont, also publishes a weekly magazine called "Revija D." It also owns the radio station Radio "D." and is affiliated with the Radio "D plus".
